Chris Kluwe Jokes About Aaron Hernandez During Appearance on ‘Conan’ (Video)

On Thursday night, Oakland Raiders punter Chris Kluwe appeared on Conan O’Brien‘s late-night show to mostly talk about Kluwe’s work in the arena of gay rights. Kluwe was there to promote his new book, Beautifully Unique Sparkleponies, and also spent some time discussing the finer points of cursing.

However, it was one offhand joke, in particular, that may get Kluwe the most attention.

O’Brien asked the longtime activist how the NFL has responded to Kluwe’s outspoken nature. Kluwe’s response took a shot at former Patriots tight end Aaron Hernandez.

“They pretty much just left me alone,” Kluwe said. “As long as you’re not out shooting people. …”
