That date, the Sox played in front of a sellout crowd at Fenway Park, marking the 745th straight full house for the Sox at their home ballpark during the regular season. That mark set a major pro sports record, breaking the previous record held by the Portland Trail Blazers.
The Red Sox’ streak eventually ran to 820 games, coming to an end in 2013. Still, the streak stands as a testament to the dedication and passion of Boston’s fans, and it’s worthy of a Ketel One Honorable Moment.
