Jaromir Jagr has been around the NHL long enough to be the childhood hero of some of his current teammates on the Boston Bruins.

One of those teammates is fellow Czech David Krejci, who said he grew up idolizing the now 41-year-old Jagr during the CBC’s pregame show before Game 2 of the Stanley Cup Final on Saturday night. Apparently he isn’t the only one, though.

Even Jagr was a fan of Jagr growing up.

Or at least that’s what he said during the player introduction part of the CBC broadcast. After Jagr said he was his own favorite player, he began to laugh along with the production crew. One crew member can even be heard saying “perfect.”
