John Lackey may not have gotten the win Wednesday night, but the right-hander impressed his teammates and coaches with yet another quality start.

In six innings of work, Lackey allowed just one run — a home run by former teammate Adrian Beltre — on five hits and zero walks. Starts like this have been the norm for the veteran for nearly a month, as he’s allowed just four total earned runs over his last four outings — all coming on solo homers.
