Jason Collins Marches in Boston Gay Pride Parade Alongside Rep. Joe Kennedy (Photo)

It’s been quite an eventful week in Boston for former Celtic Jason Collins.

On Thursday, Collins, the first openly gay active player in any of the four major sports, threw out the ceremonial first pitch to manager John Farrell at the Red Sox-Rangers game. On Saturday, Collins marched in Boston’s annual pride parade with Rep. Joe Kennedy. The two are longtime friends after having been roommates while at Stanford.

Collins wore a Nike t-shirt with the words “#BETRUE” in rainbow lettering. Check it out in the photo below. [tweet https://twitter.com/joekennedy/status/343481436554264576 align=’center’]
