Manu GinobiliThe Spurs were so close to another championship, they could taste it. Instead, they are trying to wash out the bitter flavor stuck in their mouths.

Tim Duncan, Manu Ginobili and Tony Parker were devastated after they blew a 10-point lead to begin the fourth quarter and a five-point lead with 28 seconds remaining in regulation in Game 6 of the NBA Finals on Tuesday. Their 103-100 overtime loss to the Heat prolonged the series to a pivotal Game 7, and Miami now has all the momentum.

In their postgame news conferences, the Spurs looked like a team that knew it should not be playing anymore. They were dressed in button-down shirts and slacks when they really should have been wearing champagne-soaked T-shirts. For the most part, they did not even try to downplay how disappointed they were. Their facial expressions would have given them away if they had tried to lie anyway.
