Mike Tyson Joins Neil Patrick Harris for Tony Awards’ Opening Number, Pokes Fun at One-Man Show (Video)

The cartoon pigeon sidekicks will have to wait, Mike Tyson has some musical theater to take part in.

You may remember that, last summer, Tyson debuted his one-man show, Undisputed Truth, to little fanfare. With Spike Lee‘s help, Tyson managed to bring the show to Broadway, but otherwise received a lack of media attention despite touring the production for three months to 36 cities.

Well, the Tony Awards haven’t forgotten, at least, as they invited Tyson to come take part in the ceremony’s opening number to poke a little fun at his show. The former heavyweight champion joined Neil Patrick Harris on stage, showing off some choreography in the process, and continuing with his post-retirement career of making fun of himself.
