One of these things is not like the other: the New York Mets, the New York Rangers, the New York Knicks and the Dallas Cowboys.

New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie came clean in front of Samsel Upper Elementary School in Parlin, N.J., this week when he admitted that he is in fact a Cowboys fan, according to USA Today.

Although the crowd of elementary school children gasped when Christie revealed his allegiance, he justified that he made his choice long before Mark Sanchez butt fumbled, Plaxico Burress shot himself in the leg and Jessica Simpson sported a pink, bedazzled No. 9 jersey. Christie said he grew up watching his father yell at the television on Sundays, and he admitted that he chose the Cowboys based on their success.

“My father was a Giants fan, and I used to remember watching when I was 8, 9 years old, and every Sunday he would watch the Giants and yell at the TV set,” Christie said. “I used to think to myself, ‘Why would I want to root for a team that makes you angry?'”

That reasoning must not apply to baseball, as Christie is also a Mets fan.
