NHL Mixes Up Finalists on Commemorative Stanley Cup Shot Glasses, Shows Blackhawks, Penguins Logos (Photo)

Go home, NHL — you’re drunk.

The official shot glasses celebrating the Blackhawks’ 2013 NHL Stanley Cup championship win look pretty snazzy, except for one minor detail — they sport an incorrect team logo. The Chicago Blackhawks stunned the Boston Bruins in Game 6 of the Stanley Cup Final to take the championship, but if you’re buying what the NHL is selling, you would think the Hawks had beaten the Penguins.

One of the glasses in a promotional photo in the shop on NHL.com shows a Blackhawks logo matched up with a Pittsburgh Penguins logo.

Maybe the photographer did the shot glass photo shoot sometime during the season, when many prognosticators thought it would be the Blackhawks and Penguins in the Final. Those early predictions didn’t come to fruition, however, as the Bruins swept the Penguins in the Eastern Conference finals.

Check out the NHL’s gaffe in the photo below.
