Doc RiversApparently, the negotiating is back on.

The Clippers called the Celtics, offering a future first-round pick for the rights to Doc Rivers, according to Adrian Wojnarowski of Yahoo! Sports. The two teams are “near agreement,” according to the report.

The negotiations have gone through many twists and turns over the past week with talks being on and off multiple times. Wojnarowski is as connected as anyone, though, so if he says the deal is close, it may just be.

There’s no word on whether Kevin Garnett will be sent to Los Angeles in a separate deal. Rivers was supposed to announce whether or not he wanted to stay in Boston on Monday. If this deal actually goes through, that announcement would become moot.
