The Celtics have the No. 16 pick in Thursday night’s NBA draft, but C’s president Danny Ainge is trying to hammer out a blockbuster deal before then.

Yahoo! Sports NBA reporter Adrian Wojnarowski reports that the Celtics are talking with the Brooklyn Nets about a blockbuster trade that would send both Paul Pierce and Kevin Garnett to the Nets. Multiple names are being bandied about as potential returns for the Celtics, as are draft picks. Wojnarowski reports Boston could receive Kris Humphries‘ expiring contract, Gerald Wallace, Tomike Shenglia and three first-round picks.

The Celtics are expected to be in the midst of a rebuilding process after they let head coach Doc Rivers out of his contract so he could coach the Los Angeles Clippers.
