Doc RiversOn Monday, it seemed like it was a matter of when, not if, the Celtics and Clippers would agree on a deal to send Doc Rivers and Kevin Garnett to L.A. But now it appears the negotiations are over, possibly for good.

The Clippers walked away from the negotiating table Tuesday morning after they believed the Celtics were demanding too much in return, according to ESPN. Boston was reportedly asking for DeAndre Jordan and two first-round draft picks as compensation.

The Celtics had reportedly pushed for Eric Bledsoe in the trade initially, and then moved on to try and unload the salaries of either Courtney Lee or Jason Terry on L.A. The Clippers are now expected to conduct second interviews with Byron Scott on Tuesday and Brian Shaw on Wednesday, according to ESPN. Lionel Hollins also had an interview for the vacant head coaching job last week.

L.A. hopes to announce its new head coach by the end of this week or early next week, according to the report.
