Celtics fans may have seen the last of Doc Rivers on the C’s bench.

Rivers “feels it may be time for a change,” ESPN’s Chris Broussard said a source told him. The source also added thatĀ “Doc loves coaching. He loves coaching in Boston.”

RiversĀ is still under contract with the team for another three years and $21 million,Ā but he hasn’t given confirmation that he will return for another season, leading to much speculation about his future in Boston. Rivers has been coaching the C’s since 2004. During his time in Boston, he led the team to seven playoff appearances and one title.
