JaMarcus RussellIt’s the age-old question: who to believe, unspecified people talking to a player or anonymous sources with the league?

JaMarcus Russell told “unspecified people” that he has a workout scheduled with the Ravens, according to ESPN. When the Baltimore Sun asked league sources, though, they said no workout is currently scheduled for Russell with Baltimore.

Russell worked out with the Bears last week. He has shed nearly 50 pounds since he first started attempting a comeback in the NFL weighing 315 pounds. He hit the scales at 267 pounds during his workout with Chicago.

Russell hasn’t taken an NFL snap since 2009. He was taken No. 1 overall in the 2007 draft, ahead of Pro Bowlers like Calvin Johnson, Joe Thomas, Adrian Peterson, Patrick Willis, Marshawn Lynch and Darrelle Revis.
