Lionel HollinsLionel Hollins has had a hard time getting along with his bosses lately, and it appears that unraveling relationship will lead to the coach’s departure from Memphis.

Just eight days removed from the end of the most successful season in franchise history, the Grizzlies reportedly are prepared to part ways with Hollins. The coach and team management apparently cannot resolve their differences over the use of advanced statistics in the game. Hollins, whose contract expires this year, is expected to attract a high amount of demand this summer.

Talks between Hollins and the team stalled over the weekend, Yahoo! Sports’ Adrian Wojnarowski reports, and the two parties never got close enough to seriously talk numbers. New owner Robert Pera, CEO Jason Levien and vice president of basketball operations John Hollinger are statistically minded and have been at odds with the more old-school Hollins.

The Clippers and Nets are believed to desperately want Hollins as their coach.
