Rory McIlroy did not have a very good U.S. Open. The former U.S. Open (2011) and PGA Championship (2012) winner finished at plus-14 for the tournament and was plus-6 during the final round on Sunday at Merion Golf Club.

McIlroy’s frustrations got the best of him on the 11th hole, when he bent one of his new Nike clubs after hitting his approach shot into the water. He finished the hole with a quadruple-bogey 8. Ouch.

The former No. 1 player in the world hasn’t scored a PGA Tour victory since the BMW Championship on Sept. 9 of last year, so his frustrations have been boiling up for a while.

Check out McIlroy’s loss of composure in the GIF below.
