The water all over Merion Country Club on Monday was joined by some water under the bridge.

The Tiger WoodsSergio Garcia feud that marked the recent weeks in golf appeared to end Monday with a simple handshake between the two golfers, who met on the driving range at the site of this year’s U.S. Open.

Neither Woods nor Garcia would discuss what they talked about when they met up, but they appeared to put away any lingering feelings about the tit-for-tat that came to a stormy end after Garcia made comments about “fried chicken” in relation to Woods.

Garcia told reporters that he had wanted to talk to Woods.

“We talked to his manager and asked him if he wanted us to call Tiger, or wait for Merion and do it there face to face,” Garcia said. “And they said they would rather do it there. There’s nothing we can do, so we’ll wait until we get there and we’ll talk.”

Talk they did. Check out the handshake in the photo below.
