The ballots have been cast, the votes have been tallied and the Major League Baseball All-Star Game rosters have been revealed.
The Red Sox will send three representatives to this year’s Midsummer Classic. Clay Buchholz, David Ortiz and Dustin Pedroia each got the nod. Ortiz was voted in by the fans, receiving 6,226,301 votes, fifth-most among American League players.
Ortiz’s All-Star selection is his ninth. Pedroia was selected for the fourth time, and Buchholz earned his second All-Star selection.
Koji Uehara might also find his way onto the AL squad, although he’ll need Sox fans to log on and vote. He is one of five finalists for the MLB.com Final Vote. Uehara is joined by Joaquin Benoit, Steve Delabar, David Robertson and Tanner Scheppers in the American League Final Vote.
The biggest debate leading up to this year’s selections centered on Dodgers rookie phenom Yasiel Puig. Puig was not selected, but he is one of the five Final Vote candidates in the National League. Puig is joined by Adrian Gonzalez, Ian Desmond, Freddie Freeman and Hunter Pence.

Chris Davis was this year’s leading vote-getter with 8,272, 243 votes. He surpassed Miguel Cabrera (8,013,874) in the final week.
Surely, the conversation won’t end here, especially with the final roster spot on each side to be determined by fan voting. But here’s a look at the All-Star rosters that were revealed Saturday.
