Patriots fans and experts can debate who will be the team’s X factor this season, but Aaron Hernandez is no longer an option after he was released from the team following his arrest for the murder of Odin Lloyd.

However, USA Today still tried to make the case that Hernandez could be the key to New England’s success this season in its NFL 2013 season preview issue.

ESPN NFL analyst Adam Schefter noticed the unfortunate selection for the Patriots’ X factor and tweeted out a picture of it.

A fan then pointed out to Schefter that ESPN put Hernandez in its 2013 season preview as well.
