Barack Obama Joined by ‘Pardon the Interruption’ Hosts Michael Wilbon, Tony Kornheiser on Golf Course (Video)

Getting a private audience with the president of the United States is sought after by private lobbyists and foreign emissaries alike. However, apparently there’s at least one fast pass to spending an afternoon on the golf course with Barack Obama.

Just host a debate show on ESPN.

On Friday, the White House hosted Pardon the Interruption hosts Michael Wilbon and Tony Kornheiser — even fact-checker Tony Reali was there — for lunch, according to ABC. The trio then spoke with Obama in the Oval Office. But that wasn’t the end of PTI‘s Obama excursion.

The next day, Wilbon and Kornheiser went out on the links with the president, playing at a private military course at Fort Belvoir, which is about 30 minutes from the White House. ABC clarifies that Wilbon and Kornheister did not ride in the president’s motorcade.

According to Reali, Obama told him and frequent panelist Kevin Blackistone two years ago that PTI was the only show he watched.
