Chip Kelly Has Eagles’ Receivers Run Drills With Nerf Footballs (Video)

Chip Kelly was known for running an unconventional offense as the head coach of the Oregon Ducks. Apparently that’s not the only thing he does that’s unconventional.

On Tuesday, video hit the Internet of Philadelphia Eagles receivers running drills using Nerf footballs, which is certainly something you don’t see every day. There hasn’t yet been word on Kelly’s exact reasoning for using the toy footballs, but at least one scout says that they improve hand strength and hand-eye coordination.

For now, we can only speculate how fun it would be to see how far NFL quarterbacks could throw a Nerf Vortex football. Although it looks like Peyton Manning has already tried.
