Jerry JonesCowboys owner Jerry Jones says he wants the palace he built for his football team to be “more familiar than the White House.” But would the White House still be as well known if it was named the AT&T White House?

Cowboys Stadium has become the latest victim of a sports complex branding deal. The Cowboys announced Thursday that the stadium will henceforth be called AT&T Stadium.

The branding deal is termed “multiyear, multimillion-dollar” by The Associated Press, although further figures were not given beyond speculation that it could be as much as $20 million a year for 20 to 30 years.

The name change is to go into effect immediately, according to the AP.

AT&T is based in Dallas.
