ESPN is big enough and good enough that it’s going to get attention when it slips even a little, so it’s no surprise that its recent ratings slide has just about everyone squawking.

David Letterman has joined the fray with a custom-made Top 10 list billed as the “lowest-rated ESPN programs.” While a rundown of ESPN’s deadwood would have been entertaining enough, the twists on actual ESPN programs were enjoyable, as well.

Monday Night Tee-Ball promises to be a treat, although World Series of Shuffling probably hits too close to home for those who have flipped over to the Worldwide Leader many a late night hoping to see a real sport (although, in their defense, the fictional ESPN did have the presence of mind to put that one on ESPN2).
