Jason Collins and Robbie Rogers are two of a kind as openly gay professional athletes in major American sports. So, it makes sense that the two trailblazers would get together at some point.
Rogers is currently in the middle of his MLS campaign with the L.A. Galaxy, while Collins is still looking for another job in the NBA. However, the two still recently found the time for a photo op, posing together for a picture on Rogers’ Instagram account.
Several of the comments joke that the two would make a cute couple, but there are actually a few heartwarming stories directed at the athletes of people sharing how the two have affected their lives positively. Rogers also clearly has a lighthearted attitude about the significance of the meetup, joking that Collins looks so much taller because he’s wearing heels.
