It’s no secret that John Calipari can sell. The Kentucky head basketball coach consistently brings in the top recruiting classes year after year, but now, Calipari is utilizing his sales skills in a different way.
Calipari took to his Twitter account on Monday to announce the launch of his new clothing line, the “Refuse to Lose Signature Series.” According to the former UMass coach, the clothing line is designed for athletes, businessmen, women and fans everywhere. In other words, as long as you aren’t an unemployed man who doesn’t care for sports, these clothes are for you.
While this may appear to be a quick way for Calipari to rake in additional cash to build upon his $5.2 million annual salary, he noted that the purpose of the clothing line was charity-based. According to Calipari, portions of the proceeds from clothing sales will be donated to The Calipari Foundation.
