LeBron James Tries Hand at Rapping, Samples Jay-Z, Kanye West in Sneak Peak Clips on Instagram (Audio)

Well, this was just inevitable, wasn’t it?

LeBron James has officially gotten into the rap game, folks. On Tuesday, King James posted two pieces of audio to his Instagram account, using the hashtag #ButImNotARapper with each. According to James, the seconds-long clips are sneak peaks, apparently of the same track, clearly hinting at something bigger.

The song samples a track from Jay-Z and Kanye West‘s Watch the Throne collaboration from 2011. We can’t say what the title of said sample is, but it references the city containing the Eiffel Tower and won Grammys for Best Rap Performance and Best Rap Song back in February. James also gives mentions to rap groups The Hrsmn and The Fab 5, who are both based in Brooklyn.

It’s hard to tell if James has any legitimate flow, but at least if hip-hop doesn’t work out for him, he always has that professional basketball thing to fall back on. Check out James’ clips, conveniently combined by TMZ, in the audio below.
