The 1985 Chicago Bears set a low bar for jock rap when they made “Super Bowl Shuffle.” Seven members of the 2013 Major League Soccer All-Star team have done their best to reach the Bears’ heights.

Graham ZusiJack McInerneyOmar GonzalezKyle BeckermanChris WondolowskiMike Magee and Brad Davis star in a new Funny or Die video in which they remake the Bears classic. They go through great pains to tell the world “We’re Better Than The Best” ahead of Wednesday’s showcase soccer game in which the MLS All-Stars face Italian club AS Roma.

Producers shot the video in a style reminiscent of the mid-1980s, while the soccer players’ verses would fit in that period of time, as well. Needless to say, the quality of both video and rap technique have improved since those days.
