Long before Jeremy Roenick was just some media member with frosted tips talkin’ puck for NBC Sports and other hockey outlets, he was a legend on the ice — both real and fake.

Hockey fans from the 1980s and 90s recognize Roenick as not only one of the best players in the NHL, but in EA Sports’ NHL 94 video game, too. In fact, he was flat-out dominant in what’s considered one of the best video games of all time. Now, four years after his final NHL season, he’ll be back on the virtual ice as EA Sports is releasing a feature in this year’s NHL 14 game where users can kick it old school and play a modernized version of the 20-year-old game.
