Patriots Release Statement, Are ‘Extremely Disappointed’ About Alfonzo Dennard’s Arrest

The Patriots were quick to respond to inquiries about cornerback Alfonzo Dennard‘s arrest early Thursday morning.

Dennard was arrested around 2 a.m. on Thursday in Lincoln, Neb., and was cited with suspicion of DUI among other charges. He has a court date set for Monday, Aug. 12, back in Lincoln.

The team released a brief statement late Thursday morning. Check it out below.

“The New England Patriots are extremely disappointed to learn of Alfonzo Dennard’s arrest. We take this matter very seriously and are working to get more information on the incident.”
