Paul Pierce Says He Plans to Play 10 More Years When Asked About Late-Career Trade to Nets (Video)

After spending 15 seasons with the Boston Celtics, it’s probably a reasonable question to ask Paul Pierce what a trade to the Brooklyn Nets means so late in his prolific career. But the way Pierce sees it, he may not be nearing the end, at all.

TMZ’s ever-roaming cameras caught up with Pierce in the parking lot of a Los Angeles supermarket, and the man behind said camera asked him that very question. Pierce’s response may be less sincere and rather the indignation of a proud athlete faced with the reality of his own waning abilities, but at least the 35-year-old is still showing that competitive spirit.

“Who says it’s the end of my career?” Pierce said. “I plan on playing 10 more years, dude.”
