A Tampa Bay Rays fan made possibly the defensive play of the night on Wednesday when he caught a Pedro Florimon home run ball.
Florimon went yard to right field in the third inning off Rays pitcher Jeremy Hellickson, and there was a fan in the right place at the right time. The fan caught the ball with a two-handed, barehanded grab as it descended toward him.
To be fair, there weren’t many other people in the stands around him jostling for the ball, but either way, it was a pretty impressive catch.
