Fenway ParkThe Red Sox announced multiple new initiatives at Fenway Park for the second half of the season on Thursday, including ways to stay cool and a number of new dining options.

Beginning on Friday, fans can cool off with some ice cream at the Champions Club during innings three through seven. The Champions Club will also be turned into a place where kids can play beginning in the third inning.

Fans will also be able to cool down at Gates A, B, C, and D, and at the First Aid station, where misting fans will be available. There will also be water stations at Gates C and at First Aid.

The Champions Club is located off the Big Concourse in right field, which will also feature two new Hood ice cream stands.

More ice cream stands aren’t the only new additions to Fenway this weekend. There will also be a new Tasty Burger stand, mac and cheese bites, scallops and clams available.

Starting in August, Fenway will provide tables with 16 universal chargers so fans can charge up their phones. Then, later this month, fans can take pictures at a new photo-sharing kiosk. There will also be a new Kids Cam on the videoboard. Fenway will be going green with the installation of new LED lights.

Season ticket holders will have the chance to win one of several once-in-a-lifetime experiences, including a chance to throw out the ceremonial first pitch at a future game. They will also be able to continue to enter Fenway early to watch batting practice.

The Red Sox open the unofficial second half of their schedule Friday night against the Yankees at Fenway.
