Alfonzo Dennard, Terry DoughertyAlfonzo Dennard‘s arrest early Thursday morning further complicated an already complex Patriots offseason. Now, it may complicate his place at Patriots training camp, too.

Dennard was released from a Lincoln, Neb., jail early on Thursday, but only after being cited for DUI, refusal of a chemical test and straddling lane lines, according to The Boston Globe. He was assigned a court date of Monday, Aug. 12, which could mean scheduling conflicts.

Patriots training camp is set to get underway on July 25, and, considering the court appearance date, Dennard would be forced to miss at least one day of preseason practice at Gillette Stadium. There’s always the chance that Dennard, who is on two years probation after a February conviction of felony assault on a police officer, could be assessed jail time for the probation breach. He is scheduled to serve 30 days in jail in March 2014 as part of his sentence.

The Patriots have not yet released a formal statement regarding Dennard’s arrest, but a team spokesman said to expect one Thursday.
