Andrew Ference loved Boston and Boston loved him back, but the veteran free agent defenseman is heading home to Edmonton to likely end things where it all started.
Ference signed a four-year, $13 million deal with the Oilers on Friday, according to Bob McKenzie. The 34-year-old spent his last seven seasons with the Bruins after being acquired by the B’s in a trade with the Flames along with Chuck Kobasew for Brad Stuart and Wayne Primeau.
