Jaromir Jagr has made a deal with the Devils.
ESPN.com’s Pierre LeBrun reports that Jagr has agreed to a one-year deal with the New Jersey Devils. According to LeBrun, it’s unlikely the deal is announced until Tuesday afternoon.
The 41-year-old Jagr is coming off of another fairly productive season. The future Hall of Famer spent time in both Dallas and Boston during the lockout-shortened season, where he scored 16 goals and added 19 assists in split time with both teams. He played right wing on the Bruins’ second line during Boston’s run to the Stanley Cup Final. While Jagr was held without a goal in the playoffs, he did have 10 assists in 22 playoff games for the B’s.
New Jersey will be the seventh NHL team for Jagr, who will turn 42 in February.
