Johnny Manziel was supposed to take part in the Manning Passing Academy “Air it Out” competition on Saturday, but left Nicholls State University before the event occurred.
Manziel was booted from the camp by Archie Manning when he showed up late on Saturday after staying out late on Friday night, according to Rumors & Rants. The camp is run by Peyton, Eli, Cooper and Archie Manning to coach up high school players.
Camp officials told local media that “Johnny Football” was sick. That may be true, but it sounds like “sick” really means hungover in this situation. Campers told Rumors & Rants that the Texas A&M quarterback “definitely was not sick.” Manziel missed “several meetings” on Saturday morning when he showed up late.
Rumors & Rants found a tweet stating that Manziel was out on the town late on Saturday night in College Station, Texas. While staying out late and partying is certainly nothing new for a college student, it’s never a great idea to lose respect from the Manning family.
Manziel, the Mannings and Alabama quarterback A.J. McCarron were all hanging out at a bar on Thursday night.
