The Bruins are saying goodbye to a handful of veterans this offseason but they could be saying hello to an old friend in forward Michael Ryder.

The free-agent winger is “considering offers from New Jersey and Boston,” according to TSN’s Darren Dreger.

Ryder was on the Dallas Stars for the first 19 games of the shortened 2013 season before being dealt to the Canadiens. He ended the year with 19 goals, 16 assists and a plus-2 rating. Two seasons ago he scored a career-high 35 goals with Dallas, his first year in the Big D after leaving the B’s following the 2011 Stanley Cup title run.

From 2008-11 with the Bruins, Ryder tallied  63 goals and 127 points.
