Football season can’t come soon enough for one Wisconsin man.

Nick Yohanek, a resident of Whitewater, Wis., was one of Ryan Braun’s biggest fans before the news broke Monday that the Brewers slugger admitted to using performance-enhancing drugs and was suspended for the rest of the 2013 season.

Yohanek, whose story was chronicled by Fox 6 in Milwaukee, began collecting Braun memorabilia after the outfielder’s rookie season. Over the years, he had accumulated game-used jerseys, signed baseballs, signed cleats and a multitude of bats and helmets that he displayed in a case in his basement. Altogether, the Brewers fan has spent over $15,000 on the Braun collection.

As a fan who was once “all in from the beginning on Braun,” he now plans to store his expensive investment in boxes and replace it with Green Bay Packers items.
