The Boston Red Sox aim to be good guests at Camden Yards, that’s why a couple of members of the team took it upon themselves to “fix” the dugout phone broken by the teammate David Ortiz.

Ortiz was feeling a little frustrated about a few calls Saturday night against the Orioles, and took his anger out on an innocent bystander. The Sox designated hitter took a couple of cuts at the phone located in the Red Sox’ visiting dugout and Camden Yards, smashing it to bits.

Before their rubber match on Sunday, Ryan Dempster and Jonny Gomes went out of their way to “repair” the broken phone. The two set up two empty soup cans connected by a string and placed them on top of the (now-actually fixed) phone in the dugout.
