San Jose Sharks Blast ESPN Over Lack of NHL Highlights for ‘Sharknado’ Joke on Twitter

To whoever runs the San Jose Sharks’ Twitter account: Bravo.

It’s no secret that a common criticism of ESPN is that it doesn’t show enough hockey highlights. While Skip Bayless somehow manages to continue to get airtime, many NHL fans feel the sport is underrepresented on The Worldwide Leader in Sports.

So perhaps it it were someone else making the joke, the Sharks would let it slide. But when ESPN made a joke on Twitter suggesting the Sharks should change their name to Sharknados — in honor of the SyFy Channel’s made-for-TV movie which blew up the social-networking service Thursday night — San Jose just had to take the opportunity to get a dig in.
