The Rays clubhouse is a mere 15 years old — that means it is young enough to understand the “Throwback Thursday” fad that has dominated social media.

Well, it may not be Thursday, but the Tampa Bay boys are going retro. The Rays are throwing it back with the team’s ’70s-style uniforms in Saturday’s game against the White Sox. Or, well, what they would have looked like if the Rays had existed back then.

Check out the cap and jersey below. After all, it is rare that something dates itself to be older than it is.
