This year marks the 20th anniversary of The Sandlot, and the cult film capped off several months of reunions and tributes in spectacular fashion over the weekend.

Earlier this season, the Texas Rangers hosted an event giving fans the opportunity to watch the movie on the Rangers Ballpark video board — Patrick Renna (Ham Porter) and the film’s writer, David Mickey Evans, even showed up. That same month, the Red Sox got to hang out with a couple stars from the film as part of a similar reunion event at Target Field.

Other events and reunions have taken place across the country, but on Saturday the celebration came to its zenith.

Evans and six stars from the film rededicated the field in Salt Lake City, Utah where the movie was filmed, according to The Salt Lake Tribune. The sandlot has been renovated to look just like it did in the movie, an appropriate tribute to the film but leaving it open to functional use.

To mark the occasion, players from the Triple-A Salt Lake Bees gave a clinic for local youths. Finally, to cap everything off, Evans actually proposed to his longtime girlfriend, and the couple celebrated by playing catch.

Check out a photo of the reunion — featuring Yeah-Yeah, Ham Porter, Squints and Timmy Timmons — below. You can also view a photo gallery of the event via The Salt Lake Tribune.
