Thomas Bjorn Smashes $80,000 ESPN Camera With Shot Out of Rough at British Open (Video)

That first hole is a doozy.

Thomas Bjorn spent part of his Wednesday learning how to navigate the challenges of Muirfield, the site of this year’s British Open, but it wasn’t just bunkers and rough lies that gave him fits in his practice round. As Bjorn worked his way out of the rough on the first hole, his approach was impeded by an ESPN camera, which took his shot right to the kisser.

Mike Tirico of ESPN said that the camera was an $80,000 piece — and that the bill would be sent to Denmark, where Bjorn is from.
