Tuukka Rask’s Contract Not Seen as ‘Roadblock’ in Malcolm Subban’s Development (Video)


The contract Tuukka Rask signed Wednesday will keep him in Boston for nearly another decade.

It’s great to have assured stability at the position for that long, but some may say that such a lengthy contract may stunt the growth of the team’s younger goaltenders, particularly 2012 first-round pick Malcolm Subban. But Subban, who remained in juniors last season and will start this year in Providence, isn’t worrying about any of that quite yet.
