Now may be a good time to mention that in 2007, two men were shot in Gainesville, Fla., and no one was arrested.
That being said, University of Florida linebacker Antonio Morrison was arrested on Saturday night for barking at a police dog, according to Nick de la Torre of GatorCountry.com. Morrison was charged with violation code 843.19.4, which reads: (4) Any person who intentionally or knowingly maliciously harasses, teases, interferes with, or attempts to interfere with a police dog, fire dog, SAR dog, or police horse while the animal is in the performance of its duties commits a misdemeanor of the second degree, punishable as provided in s. 775.082 or s. 775.083.
Morrison was also charged with resisting arrest without violence. Morrison was arrested in June after a dispute at a nightclub, according to Deadspin. That one presumably did not include making any animal noises at said animal.
So, just to recap, two people shot: no arrests, bark at a police dog: arrest. Only in Florida.
