Wes Welker, Peyton ManningBeing asked to compare two of the best quarterbacks in the league is no easy task, so when Wes Welker was questioned about the two signal callers he’s played with, he opted to draw another comparison of his own — this one involving guys who draw — but don’t draw plays.

“They’re both spectacular, so I don’t think there’s too much of a difference between them. It’s like comparing Picasso and Michelangelo,” Welker told USA Today. “It’s hard to compare the two.”

Welker didn’t have a straight answer as to how Peyton Manning’s throws compare to Tom Brady’s, but surely he could pick one famous artist over the other.

“You know what? I couldn’t even tell you,” Welker said. “Somebody threw those names at me one time, and I thought it sounded pretty good.”

Art history may not be in Welker’s future once his football career ends.
