Yasiel Puig seems to have taken to capitalism like a duck to water.

Remember that just 14 months ago, the young Dodgers phenom was still in Cuba, planning to defect to the United States. However, now the 22-year-old is a bona fide celebrity in America, and suffice it to say that’s a significantly different lifestyle than living under a Communist dictatorship.

As you may have heard, Puig is not in Queens this week, while baseball’s biggest stars participate in all the festivites surrounding the All-Star Game. But no matter, as Puig has clearly found ways to occupy his time.

On Sunday night, TMZ’s cameras caught up with the outfielder, and noticed that he sped away behind the wheel of a white Rolls Royce. Such are the advantages of playing under a $42 million contract as opposed to a modest government stipend.

Then, beginning Monday night into early Tuesday morning, Puig posted a string of pictures to his Instagram account while hanging out with some other noteworthy human beings. In the photos, Puig is partying at the Playboy Mansion and is pictured with rapper Snoop Dogg (Snoop Lion?), Washington Wizards point guard John Wall, singer and convicted Rihanna beater Chris Brown and San Francisco 49ers quarterback Colin Kaepernick.
