The Oldtime Baseball Game, which gives fans a taste of what it was like to play baseball in the old days (right on down to the uniform), is set to take place on Wednesday, Aug. 21 at St. Peter’s Field in North Cambridge at 7 p.m.

All of the proceeds will go toward the Scleroderma Foundation of New England.

Former Red Sox player Lou Merloni will headline this year’s game for a sixth time. Notable players joining Merloni will be last year’s MVP Skip Flanagan and first-year player Chris McDonough. Former Boston College baseball player Peter Frates will also be in attendance as one of the coaches.

There will be a ceremony before the game to honor former Red Sox great Johnny Pesky, who coached the Oldtime Baseball Game for 10 years. As part of the 20th anniversary celebration, the game will also serve as a reunion for former players.

Fans can attend for free. To find out more information, visit oldtimebaseball.com.
