When Alastair Moock‘s 5-year-old daughter Clio was diagnosed with leukemia in July 2012, the two passed the time at the hospital by singing and writing songs together.

In the year since, these rehearsals have grown into the Singing Our Way Through project, a non-profit organization founded by the Boston-based musician aimed at bringing music and encouragement to children with life-threatening illnesses.

Moock has since released an album entitled “Singing Our Way Through: Songs for the World’s Bravest Kids” and taken his music on the road, playing his songs for children at hospitals, camps and clinics around the United States.
