Alex Morgan‘s Portland Thorns had to play most of Wednesday night’s game against the Boston Breakers without their star. Now they’re awaiting tests Thursday to see whether they’ll have to play without Morgan even longer.

Morgan hurt her left knee Wednesday in Boston and was flown back to Portland the same evening to be evaluated further, according to FOX Sports. She was hurt around the 10th minute when she reached for the ball and collided with other players. She watched part of the game from the sidelines with a brace on her knee after being taken to the locker room until halftime.

Morgan was taken from the field on a stretcher after doing stability tests that seemed to point to a ligament injury, according to Pro Soccer Talk, although later reports indicated she did not damage her anterior or medial collateral ligaments.

Portland has qualified for the playoffs for the National Women’s Soccer League, which is in its inaugural season. Morgan leads the team in scoring with nine goals and four assists in 18 games.

Morgan tweeted Wednesday evening that she would be evaluated Thursday and would update everyone then.
